Grading Policy
Although unusual, transferring to another technical major is possible during the first two days of the fall semester. Students may be added to technical areas from the third day to the tenth day only with the approval of the technical instructor. This change should have the input from the advisor and the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Transferring a major after a year's study poses other problems and should be pursued during the spring semester. The Stevens Legacy Award/Grant are usable for only four semesters.

Repeating Courses
Students may repeat a course to make up a failing grade. The policy on academic overload is applicable. Failure in any course, including physical education, must be made up by taking an approved similarly related course at any accredited postsecondary institution (including Stevens, if one's schedule permits) and having it officially transferred to your Stevens transcript. You must have earned at least a 2.0 cumulative quality point average (out of a possible 4.0). Credits transferred in from another institution do not affect the GPA.

Testing Out of a Course
Students may test out of a course at the discretion of the instructor and the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Auditing a Course
Students may audit a course at the discretion of the instructor and the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Students auditing a course will not receive an official grade.
