Decisions for academic dismissal shall be made by the Vice President for Academic Affairs and will be based on a student's GPA. Any student who has not earned a minimum 2.0 grade point average overall at the end of a semester during which the student is on Academic Probation shall be dismissed from the institution.
Students must also earn an overall 2.0 grade point average in their majors. The student is responsible for meeting all requirements of the educational program. Any student not earning a minimum grade point average of 1.5 at the end of the first semester will be liable for dismissal. The student whose GPA is 2.0 or lower at the end of the second semester is liable for dismissal. A student with a GPA of 1.0 or below during the first semesterwill be dismissed.
Students dismissed from the institution may reapply the next academic year. Students may appeal academic dismissal. This procedure is found in the Student Handbook.
