GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Thaddeus Stevens Foundation has been underwriting an off-campus new home construction program for 52 years and each year it comes with an escalated dollar value. Eight of our career majors benefit directly through this hands-on training, not to mention the other Foundation initiatives of land acquisition, capital campaigns, special campus projects, purchase lab equipment and state-of-the-art technology, initiating grants, scholarships, estate planning and much more.
You can help us to uphold this great work by making a supporting gift, which will enable the Thaddeus Stevens Foundation to continue to fulfill its mission of charitable service to Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.
The best invested dollars is one that’s invested in changing the life of a young person. The returns are forever, both social and financial. When you make a gift to the Thaddeus Stevens Foundation you’re not only supporting the finest two-year technical college in Pennsylvania, you’re supporting a 100-year tradition of success.
The Thaddeus Stevens Foundation if a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. A tax-deductible charitable gift receipt will be issued to you for your donation. Below are a number of ways to make a supporting gift:
1. Making a total cash gift, or a pledge which may be paid in installments throughout
the year.
2. Giving real estate or other personal property of value to the Thaddeus Stevens
Foundation.
3. Making a gift of securities. Transferring marketable stocks or bonds directly to the
Thaddeus Stevens Foundation relieves the donor of capital gains tax and provides a
tax deduction.
4. Naming the Thaddeus Stevens Foundation as a beneficiary of an insurance policy.
An alternative is to make the Foundation both owner and sole beneficiary, providing
a tax deduction for the donor for the policy’s cash surrender value.
5. Including the Thaddeus Stevens Foundation in one’s will. A codicil can be added to a
current will document without redrawing the entire document.
6. Creating a gift annuity fund or trust fund through the Thaddeus Stevens Foundation
that pays an income for life to the donor or to a beneficiary. At the death of the last
named beneficiary, the fund’s assets will go to the Foundation.
Leaving a legacy is a wonderful way to say thank you. Please call us a 1-800-571-7324 and we’ll be happy to discuss a plan of support. There is no time like the present to make a life-changing gift.
